New site, cabosbest.com does a great job of bringing fishing information for Cabo including fish reports, ocean currents and temps, charter services and general fishing information on the area.
Check them out - http://www.cabosbest.com
You were right! cabosbest.com has all the current information about Cabo San Lucas. Great site!

The season is basically December thru March directly off Cabo for both blues and stripes. But I've caught one or two fish, per day in the Summer.
Further up inside the Sea of Cortes, East Cape gets going from April thru October. Plenty of stripes and blues, with an occasional black marlin. The Bisbee Black & Blue is wrapping up their tournament there right now.
For fish with shoulders, consider Ecuador. It's cheap, the boats are good and the hotels first class.

I don’t have any doubt about fishing striped marlins on Cabo but take a look the results of the tournament that took place last February on the island of San Cristobal, Galapagos Ecuador, the numbers speak for themselves.
Tournament Statistics
Marlin Strikes 1597
Marlin Releases 505
Striped Marlin Releases 495
Blue Marlin Releases 10
Fishing Days 4
Total Fishing Hours 26
Boats 15
Marlin Strikes per hour/boat 4.09
Avg. Releases per boat 33.66

Are there any mangroves, flats, etc. - in or around Cobo to fly fish and throw a few poppers?
Any help would be greatly appreciated - going next week.
