I know Intrepid has a very high quality mark in yachting reviews but wanted to know real world experience from people. Im looking at a 35 cuddy cabin model. How dry and stable is the ride? How does it compare to other top brands? Long term how does the boat hold up say in 10-15 years? Thanks.

I saw your inquiry. Wondering what you have discovered as I am now looking at purchasing one.
Thanks,

I am taking delivery of my second Intrepid. It is the 350 WA and my previous Intrepid was the 348 WA. They are incredible boats. Nothing is left out. The ride is great, their customer service is great. I would highly recommend them. The only downside is the long wait. I have owned contenders and have friends with every make imagineable and none are comparable in my opinion. I would bet you would get the same answer from every intrepid owner.

I have a 1999 356 cuddy. One thing about the boat you need to know is that around 97 or 98 the model was changed significantly in that the cabin headroom increased about 1-2 inches. That made a big difference believe it or not. Also the hatch latches changed around that time as well. I would highly recommend getting the newer version. The 356 is a big yet light boat, runs great. Mine has gen and AC. I bought it b/c i wanted a fishing boat with overnight for 2 people and so far have not been disappointed. Basically you can't go wrong with Intrepid!

My family is on our third intrepid. We have been slowly moving up in size. I have loved every one. they run great, look good and even fish better.

I own a 348 WAC and we have put that boat boat through rigors I wish i hadent been there for. Such as a 10-12 foot day which was very scary yet when we were hit by a 14 foot rouge the boat shot up yet still felt stable. When leaping off the 10 footers the landing was smooth and crushing. FOr the average 3-5 foot day we run hte boat top end just pounding through the waves and landing so softly. The 35 foot boat reaches 50 mph with just twin 250 hp yamahas. Final word is increwdible.

I am looking for a 2004-2006 Intrepid 348 with Yamaha 250s, Mercury or Evirude Etec power. Anyone know of any available?

I'm thinking of purchasing an older intrepid (30ft. 1985 cuddy)any problems with these or does their reputation hold on these early models. The boat appears to be in great shape.

Fabulous, over built best riding outboard power boats available. I have owned Whitewater, Contender, Boaton Whaler, Grady White, Sea Vee and Conch. With out question, the Intrepid is far superior.

I have a 1986 and it is fantastic. I bought it in the keys and trailered up to SC. it's a 30' CC with cuddy, a narrow beam about 8' that cuts through waves on the 2 hour trip out to the stream in the dark. Not sure how many owned it before me, all I know is it was in great shape when I got it. People don't beleive me when I tell them it's 20 years old.

I am currently looking and seriously considering purchasing a 1988 Intrepid 30. I was wondering if you had time for a quick phone conversation as to some things to look for and your reccommendation on the boat. I also live in SC. Columbia area on Lake Murray.
