Suzuki outboards on a Mako

I am looking at a 1998 Mako 293 w/225 suzukis. any thoughts on performance of this vessel or the engines?

i have a 293 with merc 250 efi's (2 stroke) i cruise at 30. 40 WOT. but get 1.5 mpg on a good day. Ive been seriously looking at the 250 suzukis, so if you get any good info please pass it along.
