I'm looking at a 2003, 20 ft Walkaround from Pro-line with a Mercury, Saltwater series 150 hp. Anyone have any experience with this particular model? It looks like they've retooled the '05 molds to include the bow pulpit but otherwise, I'm guessing it's pretty much the same boat. Comments??
I have a 2005 23 sport cc with a Mercury Optimax 200. Nice boat and very dependable. Layout is good for fishing.
Hi,
I have a 2001 Proline walk around with a Merc 225 for 4 seasons. I bought it used. Very seaworthy and stable have taken it offshore many times. No major issues other than routine maint.
I have been offshore in that model and when the seas kick up hte slightest bit it performs terribly, horrible rough ride and very unstable. I dont recomend pro line boats. For a cheaper boat look at sailfish or key west, dependable and yamaha rigged
I have had a 23 Proline with a 225 Merc going into my 3rd season. I have found it very dependable even offshore.
Tony, I have a 2001 ProLine 20Walk with a 150 Optimax DFI. The hull placard states that max HP is 200. I thought about re-powering with a 225 Honda but that would void the warranty (until 2011). Is your boat a 2001?
BTW, I'm well satisfied with the quality of ProLines.
