Palm Beach 18 center console

Can anyone give me information on the 18' CC Palm Beach in regard to quality, ride, price and value as compared to a Scout, Mako, or Whaler? Also, how do they ride in a chop and are they a wet boat?

Ed: I just bought a 2001 Palm Beach 181, so I can give you an opinion shortly. In Florida at least, Scouts, Makos and Whalers are considered at least a tier or two above Palm Beach. When I tested the 181, it rode dry and smooth. But we didn't get into any chop. For my purposes -- bayou fishing with an occasional trip 1 to 2 miles in the gulf on a calm day -- the Palm Beach will be fine. The motor is what really sold me. It's a Suzuki 115 4-stroke, smooth as butter and almost as quiet.
