I agree, that the Kicktail is an awsome lure but some people bitch that it doesnt work and thats because they didnt fish it right. I know because when I first fished it I wansnt reeling it fast enough and then once I reeled it really fast I caught 15 nice sized Bass in 1 hour and 2 of them were 5 pounders

What is the best way to use the kick-tail. Just using the lure itself is not working for me, it floats to easily. How do I rig it up?

What are the best thre Kicktails color/type for general lake fishing and bay/salt water? Theres no one to direct the question on the Kicktail site.
Understand that conditions drive selection, but you have to start somewhere.

I have not used one, but the guys whom I know who have say they aren't built very well, they snag a lot, and aren't good in most applications, unless you are on schooling bass that are feeding on shad.
This article kind of sums it up well...

I just bought a set of them. They are bigger than I thought they would be. I will be heading out next weekend to use them, so I will post and let you know how they do

Well I havent tried it yet, so I dont know if it actually works. My question is , How is it any different from the jointed Rebel lure? From what Ive read and seen about the kickail, I dont see any difference, except the price. And if you havent tried a jointed rebel, then youre missing out.

Spent the money. Was not that impressed with the lure.It is to flimsy. One good hit and it is toast.other lure's out there just as good if not better at a less expensive price.

I just got 5 kick tail lures in the mail and fished all 5 today. I caught a very big bass, but I am very dissapointed to say that the lure is not made to withstand a big strike. I had 2 of these lures to break on me today... They broke at the end of the tail and from what I can tell, they are made of very CHEAP plastic. I cant' take anything away from the action of this bait because it is awesome. It looks and swims just like a shad, heck, maybe even better than a shad and the fish will ABSOLUTELY KILL this bait when they see it. My only beef is the quality of craftmanship is very poor.... My over all grades for fish catching ability is A+ and craftsmanship is a F-.......
the lure looks good while reeling it in. i am a mechanical designer and in my opinion it is very cheaply made. i used it for about an hour catching no fish and the tail broke off during a light snag in weeds. it is a rip off and not worth the packaging it was in.

Does the kick tail work for all fish or just bass. do you think it would work for Northern pike or Red Fish?
