for the upcoming season in Guatemala. She’s an express with a ton of fishing space, and a similar layout to the Coyote II. You can expect the same high standards that everyone has come to expect from Guatemala. We are ready to take bookings, so contact Brian Barragy at brian@prosportfishing.com or (713)398-7764 (USA) for full package details. For the upcoming season we have also added a house lodging option. Details will be posted soon on the web site at www.FishingGuatemala.com.

Hi Chris - Tremendous story.. never heard of swimming with the sails. A group of us have traveled to various places for years in search of great fishing.. prior trips include Costa Rica and several trips to Venezuela. The article mentions Dec-Feb as peak months in Guatemala.. schedules are pushing us to go in April.. will we be disappointed?

Brian - the "peak" season runs Dec-April.................although it's only peak because that is when most folks want to escape the weather up North and come down for sunshine, warm seas and the best Sailfishing in the world !!

I have fished extensively in March-May out of Pez Vela.......averaged 12 Sails to the baot/day - and a couple of Blues thrown in as well. Give it a try....you won't be disappointed !

Fishing is good pretty much year round, it's just that most want to go in the wintertime. I've fished there in May & June with just as good success. 15-20 fish released a day with 12 and 20# lines.

I see Joan Vernon was down there two weeks ago - 87 for 140 on 8 and 12# lines!
