Try a 4/0 size rod & reel and spool it with at least 150 yards 65lb.Power Pro top shot.Add a bimini and connect 30-50ft. of 50lb.mono leader with an albright and leave a 5in. of tag end of the 50lb.Create a half-hitch and pull tight against the knot and connect the tag end with a small loop and a 3 turn uni-knot.Your lead is connected via 12in. 40lb.with a snap and when the fish comes up remove your lead and reel fish to gaff.No dangerous handlining associated with three-way swivels.Give us a call for all your fishing needs.Bruce @ 305-469-6171.Tight lines
