The Pro exw50 is great. Awesome stopping power with greater headroom just in case you want to lock it down to close to 50lbs.... Although you'll never go there. Smooth operation like a Shimano without the weight. The only downside to these reels are the clickers. They are loud... but are a pain to engage/disengage. Little lever is about the size of a pea with just a small flange sticking out of it. What a joke.

The Avet EX Series has been upgraded. The new 30s have a significantly larger clicker lever. The new lever is located on the right side of the reel. The EX 4/0 series are still available, these are the ones with the "pea sized" clicker levers, on the left side of the reel. The new 30 does not have the spool lock either. Technically there is very little difference between the 4/0 and the 30, however due to the 30's more conventional design, I have been recommending those to my customers in lieu of the 4/0 series.

I spoke to Harry at Avet Reels, he is currently working on the 80 & 80 Wide Avet's. There is also a 130 in the future as well, but we will see the 80 soon.

Been selling and using Avet's for years now,not a single problem with them. Have used them from tuna to shark and they work. Even the little ones work great for fluke, blues, bass, blacks & weaks..you have all the power you need when using power pro on these beauties.
Keep a tight line

Mike,
what kind of line capacity are you looking for? if you spooled up that avet pro ex 50 with 80LB braid and a mono topshot, you will get about 1000 yds. of line on that reel.
