How far do I have to go offshore to get grouper and Amberjacks at the end of august? Depth? miles?

It depends on how big you want them. But you can go out 10-15 miles and get them (if they are there, others may have fished them out). THen you will have to go out farther. I like to go out about 40 and go to a wreck/reef and get them. Hope it helps.
