I like to take my daughter(she is five) out fishing w/me but all we seem to catch is "dogfish" ,rays ,and catfish. Could you point me in the right direction, please???

I am sorry man, but I do not think anyone is going to give out good fishing holes on a posting site. But there are a couple of questions...
1. Do you have a boat?
2. If so how far out can you go?
You can take her to the Piers, bridges, beaches and fish off of them. The kind of bait you are using may be part of the problem (squid)? Not that it is not a good bait, just every junk fish likes it as well. Try using live stuff. Hope it helps.

I recommend putting your daughter to work catching small pinfish/croakers on bits of shrimp with a cork and real small hook...then you have great live bait for just about anything exciting that can be caught in that area. Everybody wins!
