How to post photos

To display photos on the forum, click on the insert image button in the editor... (the insert image button is the yellow one on the second row)

When it brings up the URL box, simply paste the location of your image. (To do this, view the online image with a Web browser and cut/paste the location from the address bar of the browser)

The image should appear!

Note that you are not "uploading" a photo, but linking to it from somewhere else. It will appear in your post as though you put it there, however. We don't allow the actual uploading of photos except for avatar and signature photos.

The best way to do this is to open an account on one of the many free photo hosting web sites, such as photobucket.com. Load your pictures into your account there and then copy the URL link provided below each picture and paste it into the URL box explained by the Admin. The image will appear like the one below. If you need more detailed assistance feel free to PM me.

You can post photos here in our Photo Gallery from your hard drive.


Just log into the forums if you haven't already, and click on the "Photo Gallery" tab at the top of the page. Then click the "Upload photos" tab to the right.

From here you can upload photos much like you would anywhere else right from your computer.

After you upload your photos, you can paste the bit of code under the photo into your forum posts.

That was weird. Musta happened this week when they re-arranged the photo categories. Should be OK now.

Hi guys. I'm trying to post a pic (JPeg format) from my picasa picture album. I followed your instructions, pasting the url etc but all i get is a little box with a red cross in it in my message text. if I right click and select "show picture" I get nothing.
What am i doing wrong?

Try this method. Go to the picasa page where your picture resides. Put you cursor on the photos and right click it. A pop-up menu should appear. Select Properties from the available options. On the pop up menu that appears will be an option called Address or Location. Next to Address/Location will be a URL ( example: http://s111.photobucket.com/albums/n142/afronugs/?action=view&current=FLA.gif ) Highlight the URL and copy it. Select the insert image button, as shown in the first post, and insert URL into address line (white box) It should show up in your post. Make sure the .gif or .jpeg is at the end of the link.
