Recently bought a place in the central pacific portion of Costa Rica....near the beach with a river behind! I've never fished for snook before but found one ~ 15 pounds washed up on shore. Anyone give me some hints on fishing for these??
thanks,
:)

Must be around Quepos! Any topwater and diving plugs will attract them. I like a 52M MirrOLure red/yellow when the water is dirty or blue/silver when clear. Sand eel flies work too in case you're fly fishing.

You might also want to try live bait like shrimp, pilchards or finger mullet. If you are partial to artificials you cant go wrong with mirro-lures, zara spooks, red and white buck tails, or any top water that resembles a wounded bait fish. if you're fly fishing you can try decievers or shrimp patterns. Hope this helps you get those linesiders to the boat.
