Join Honduras on the Fly to fish the new moon tides for permit and
bonefish on May 12-19,2007. Only a few spots left!

Here's the latest from Roatan, Honduras -

February proved to be a fairly windy month on Roatan. A few storms rolled
in mid month that brought rain and cooler temperatures and strong winds
from the north. Easterly trade winds prevailed in between storms.

Fishing was good for tarpon this month. During the windy conditions,
guides headed to the shelter of the mangrove lagoons to fish. Perry Herst
was able to land fish from 5-15 lbs during his stay. Phil Clough braved
the steady rain to land a nice 20 lb fish, proving that fishing is better
in the rain!

Bonefishing was good as always, although the fish proved to be a bit
choosier, especially on the home flat. Olive and brown Bonefish Bitters
in sizes #6-8 were the most consistent producers. If you tie your own,
choose patterns that are a bit different than the norm and in smaller
sizes, even down to #10.

As the weather stabilizes in March, more permit will show in larger
numbers and sizes all the way through July. After changing flies a few
times, Herle Hamon landed a 10 lb fish recently on a standard Merkin Crab
#6. Guides are reporting seeing larger schools of permit cruising the
flats and a few larger fish looking for those crabs!

March/April issue!

Tight lines!
