The grass is back!

The day started out really foggy down here in Cocodrie, La. The fog lifted around 10 this morning. We finally made it to the duck ponds and the grass was everywhere. Put on a spoonfly and started looking for tails cruising the grass.Caught 2 small reds right off the bat. The wind started blowing harder but we push up on a pod of reds and Jeff caught a 13 pounder. Looking around while staked down I saw four more pods of reds chasing crabs. We caught 11 reds before the wind finally got to strong. Great day for the conditions.

South Texas is "Snowed In".

On the Padre Island National Seashore we have two to three feet of seaweed on the beach. I was hoping to get a good trip in during the next two weeks, but it is virtually unfishable now.

the weeds have been bad. beach cleanup actually combed the beach down and cleaned all that mess up.
