Is there any rule on spam and the posting of the same thread in multiple sub-forums?

Ok, I over looked the spam rule:
Blatant 3rd party advertisements and spam will be deleted without notice.
How does this apply to the lounge? I have read threads that are obvious spam and they are not deleted.

Thanks Seth, I think the Online Editor musta got that one as it seems to have disappeared.

The only place we try and accommodate is for Professional Guides. We allow them to post their reports, which are valuable content for our readers, in return, we acknowledge that by doing so, they are in effect promoting themselves.

We differentiate with these guide reports as it is a win-win-win for them, us, and our members. Other blatant "check out my website" posts which attempt to steer visitors to a competing site, we have less tolerance for.
