Flyfishing Edisto Island SC

Heading down for our annual trip to Edisto Island, SC. Never had much success surf flyfishing. Any tips, techniques, etc would be appreciated! Bring my 8 wt and 12 wt. We are staying on the sound side of the island. Lots of sand, no structure to speak of. Have a bunch of salt popper patterns, crabs, shrimp etc. Just looking to get a Fish On!

If you have access to a kayak that would make it easier tosearch the flats around the area. Also, check out some of the little salt creeks. On the surf have you tried a sand flea (mole crab) pattern? Pompano love the little guys.
