As a new member to this forum, thought I'd get some advise on buying a new flyline, opinions matter when it comes to buying as well as personal taste and usage.Right now I am using a Cortland WF#9Ffor the beach fishery for coho/pinks,With so many new products out there,What would be a good line???I've read lots on Airflo-Plus40,Rio-Outbound.Any other suggestions would help on products and Companies.I prefer to use a weight forward as the beaches tend to shallow up and I found in the past a sinktip, you have to be on the ball with the retrieval. Thanks for your time on this and look forward to posting when the Coho's(Silvers) start running and have some photos to post.

I cut my teeth fishing silvers and kings with flies when everyone else was satisfied with hardware and cut-plugs. I used then and still today - Cortland 333 fly lines (camo). I took the DT's and cut them in half, so I'd have a spare when I lost one to a freight train fish. Zinnnnnnnnnnnnnnng, pop, oops! I also use intermediates, because they're easier to lift from the water, without having to retrieve nearly all the way in. I got my largest silver on the Togiak River, Alaska in 1984 - 7.25kg; my largest steelhead on the Sustet - 7.55kg; and my largest king on the Kenai 15.25kg.
