Hello everyone, I am new to flats flyfishing and flats fishing period!
Looking to move down to the Englewood area and begin my retirement fish in that location. Any info will be appreciated. Have fly fished for a few years in MI and out west for Trout, Salmon.
Thanks,
Bob

Find some flats and start wading. Learn the tides and read everything you can get your hands on! Or.....hire a guide ;)

Find your fish and then experiment with lures....... oh and as above know the tides inside out - you dont want to get in any danger.

Walk. Look. Walk. Look. Then do it some more. The best thing to do is spend time on the flats. Keep your eyes open and every once in a while look behind you. Some trophy fish may just be following your foot prints. This is the way I learned to fish the flats on Aitutaki in the Cook Islands. Now it is my business and I spend almost every day doing the walk.

Good information here.
Walk, find what you are looking for and use Google Earth to find more flats. Google Earth is your friend. Makes finding those areas that you always thought were just marsh and turned out to be great walking flats, easier.
Look, flats are everywhere.
