For my trip down to Fiji/Austalia I am going to need several long sleeve fishing shirts. I normally fish in Europe where the need for lightweight shirts is small to say the least! I have been browsing the internet and have found shirts by Simms, Orvis, Under Armour, Columbia etc. Some advice on which ones are the best for those conditions would be much appreciated.

Cabelas Guideware, well thought out design, made of supplex nylon and about $40.00 :thumb:

Ditto, very good pocket layout and cheaper than all of the others except Columbia. I've got a couple that are over ten years old and I wouldn't wear any other brand. The pants are also very good, and they hem them.

Patagonia Sol Patrol, Island Hopper, or their new Sun Shade. That shirt is awesome. I picked up 3 of them. With Patagonia you can't go wrong, plus the stuff last for years.

Probably my three favorite shirts right now are the Simms Rogue River, Simms Super Light and Orvis Carribean Camo Shirt. Also, the Patagonia fishing shirt is great. Those materials might be a little hot, so also check out the Simms Wader Wick or Patagonia LS Capeline shirts. Light weight and cool even in the hottest conditions.

I have a shirt that I got from CCA made by Ex-Officio. It was our banquet committee shirt and I love it. It is very lightweight.

Just Purchased 2 long sleeve and 2 short sleeve Cabela Guidewear shirts online. Not a bad price at $33.95 & $28.95 respectively. Also being 6ft 7in the XXL in the long is going to come in handy. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks again, just recieved my Cabelas Guideware shirts and they are great quality. Ordered some Under Armour fishing gear as well, it may be a bit more expensive but the quality and materials used are top notch.
