Hello there,
I just wanted to get people's opinions and thoughts about Sage's RPLXi and RPLX. The reason being is that I just recently purchased one of each. One brand new and the other slightly used. A 9ft 10wt 5 piece RPLXI and 9ft 8wt 3 piece RPLX. These are AWESOME RODS. They are a cannon and can cast a mile. Very strong and you can really put the wood to the fish. Plus, the for the most part, they are a light rod. Certainly wouldn't classify them as a tree trunk, that's for sure. I am a guide and instructor for a fly shop in CT and I have always fished with the newest rods. Sage XPs, SLTs, etc. Never fished the RPLXi or RPLX series. I can't buy them via the guide program now, only the newest models which is fine with me. No complaints here. But, I now have a real nice mixture of new and older Sage and Winston rods for the salt(as well as fresh) These rods were a great addition. I can't believe the "Cult following" these rods have. People spend a ton of money on these rods like they were the Z-Axis or BIIX(Another awesome rod in the salt by the way. I have 2 of them and LOVE EM:thumb:) Before I couldn't understand why these rods were so sought after but after purchasing and fishing them, I now know why. Any other fans and lovers of these great sticks and why:gr_cheers:
