Advise on Reels

I am looking at buying a saltwater reel and I wonder if anyone out there can provide "pros and cons" on both the Ross Reel CLR 5 and Orvis Battenkill Mid Arbor V. Thanks for you help

As between these two: ROSS if for no other reason than it's USA machined and Orvis is chinese...cost differential that's IMHO insignifcant for saltwater use. I use a ROSS Big Game 8...i would look for BG models as they are dated but good and can be had at reduced prices...but if I only had one saltwater reel it would be my 4N Abel.

My POV I don't fly fish chinese.

Depending what your going after, I use a Ross Cimeron 5 for seatrout, although it has held up quite nice to some stripers & redfish. I also have the CLA 5 when targeting the stripers and reds. Excellent reel both just depends how much you want to spend!
