looking for a weekend ride in NE florida, OR potentially a longer term ride for the right owner/captain. I have fished a variety of tournaments from backcountry/inshore to heavy tackle money tournaments (BBC, Shootout) and, in accordance with new regs, very proficient in rigging naturals with circle hooks. below is my resume

OBJECTIVE:
To utilize my abilities and skills aboard a vessel(s) that fish weekends and aren't afraid to fish hard, with possibility for summer work

-22 yrs old, clean cut nonsmoker

-Specializing in light tackle with natural baits on circle hooks, but very proficient with heavy tackle and plugs, live bait for kings/sails, and tuna

-Able to maintain and operate vessels up to 50'
-Moderate mechanical knowledge and engine maintenance
-Good with clients, able to entertain groups
-Ability to cook quality meals at owner's behest

-charged with tournament cockpit duties, split time as wireman/tagman. responsible for upkeep and maintenance of boat and tackle

SWIFTY- 39' Bertram Conv, Summer of '05; mate
- 1st mate split maintenance and fishing duties with captain for a very particular owner

PARLAY-35' Cabo Express, Summer of '05; mate
-1st mate charged with operating the cockpit, upkeep of tackle and boat, and "tourguide" for owner's son

SIERRA HOTEL- 63' Merritt, Summer of '06; mate
-1st mate in charge of tackle and cockpit operations (wireman/gaffman/rigger) overall maintenance, appearance of exterior/interior, tackle, light engine maintenance, cooking/cleaning, and entertaining guests

- in charge of entire boat operation from fishing and tackle maintenance, to engine work and detailing exterior/interior

- tournament mate, in charge of cockpit operation and keep boat appearance immaculate

GOLD RESERVE-41' Custom Morgan charterboat, May '07 to Aug '07; mate
- full time charter mate, responsible to cockpit, tackle, bait, and procedural maintenace. had boat prepared for every day of fishing, 7 days/week.

Dude...your over qualified...you'll make most capts look bad...you really need to spend $800 fly up here to Norfolk Va and attend the Maritime Academy for 8-9 days and get your Capts License...you've obviously got the sea time and experience...get your ticket and then change your ad to "Experienced Capt to Mentor You and your Boat...CHEAP...

You'll get a bite then...if you have any questions about the maritime academy email me and I'll send you the links...its what I did...

you dont even know how many times I've heard that. For having only been at it professionally for 3 years, i find it hard to believe I'm over qualified. trust me, the capts ticket is in the works, its just the funds that are hard to come up with when you cant find work

i did not read far enough down in your resume to see that you only fish weekends and within 40 miles of jax. good luck with your schoolin' and your career.
