seeking any help or tips....
saltwater fished for stripers ever since i could walk
recieved my first fly rod for christmas...
any info, tips, on fishing gear flies, or techniques for
fishing for stripers would be appreciated

look at either the sci anglers streamer express, or the rio lines. umpqua has good leaders, pre knotted. also check out leaders and tippet from climax, i have no preference they all work good for me. in a pinch i'll even take a 7 foot piece of leader material and make my own. for flies, well the sky is the limit. basics should include clouser minnows, surf candy. these bait imitations work well every where, just match the colors to your local baitfish/eel colors.

I started flyfishing for striped bass on Cape Cod about 4 years ago. I spend most of the winter anticipating my return to the Cape in the spring. I found these books very helpful when I was starting out.
