Hi,i need to know a good knot to connect heavy fluorocarbon shock tippet(80 -100lbs) to the fly for tarpon fishing.
I usually use Homer Rhodes improved when i use a nylon shock with no problems, but since the fluorocarbon is a more slippery material, many suggest to use a "Kreh Loop" or Davy's knot, but i can't set these last ones very well, this due to the stiff and large diameter of the shock tipett( i remember that i use 80-100 lbs).
So any suggestions? Can i use the same Homer Rhodes knot to attach fluorocarbon shock to the fly or not? I need a knot that avoid slippage problems also after repeated stress.
Thanks in advance.

I use this knot for almost everything, including big tarpon.

Try A uni knot also sometimes known as a Grinner. Very good knot strength and wont slip. I use it on all materials but it's particularly good on Flourocarbon
