As a die-hard angler (male or female), where else would you want to be on earth than on Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands during Easter weekend?
March 21st - 23rd/08.
Just what is so special about Easter weekend on Virgin Gorda?
There are two things (events) that make it so special during this time of year.
(1) First its the annual Virgin Gorda Easter Festival; a weekend of fun and frolic, bands, music, nightly entertainment (into the wee hours) and the highlighted "Easter Monday Parade -sky dancers) etc.
Reason # 2, its the annual Virgin Gorda Fisherman's Jamboree; two (2) days of serious high seas, deep water fishing competition for the famous "Wahoo".
The tournament is sponsored by the Flax family, owners of Fischers Cove Hotel and Virgin Gorda Tours (land tours).
Registration is on Friday evening: March 21st.
Saturday and Sunday fishing.
The First prize is is for $5,000.00
Other prizes are for best female angler, youngest angler, heaviest over all catch, cleanest boat etc.
It is truly an event not to be missed.
