I just bought a Shimano Calcutta CTE 200 and I was wanting some opinions on a good rod for Speckled trout and Redfish. I've been looking at the Falcon Coastal and Falcon Cenderi Ti 7 footers. Like I said, any suggestions would be great.

I have a G-Loomis 6'9" Shallow Water Rod. It was designed for Texas anglers for specifically reds and trout. I have it rigged with an Okuma Epixor 20. It's great. I throw small plugs, jerkbaits, spoons, jigs, etc. Model #GCR813S.

All Star shrimp tail special. I have won many tournaments with them. they are great for plastics of all types and lots of back bone to stop the runs.

If your still looking, a 6.5' Castaway has served me well teamed with a Curado. I've landed everything from flounder to a large Jack on a topwater. This set up works real well with Top Dogs etc.

All Star is a good rod.
I use the Ugly Stick "Custom" USCISP 1170 1M rated for 8-14lb line. You can use up to 20lb braid with this rod with no problem!
I have never broke one of these rods in the six years Ive been using them.
I think they sell for around 70.00 dollars................Its a very good deal!:thumb:

I have a Falcon Coastal with a Calcutta CT 101B on it, and it is a sweet combo. IMO, you can't beat a Falcon rod , any model.

I just recently purchased an ugly stix light, and it's really nice. It has a nice action. I bought the Penn Sargus 2000G spinning reel for it, with 10 lb suffix braid.

On a side note, if you guys haven't picked up a Penn Sargus, you need to. They are freaking sweet. Seriously........I bought the 5000G for near shore casting/trolling/chunking.........I was so impressed I went back and got the 2000G for inshore. I'm very pleased, and you couldn't ask for a more "braid friendly" reel.
