View Full Version : Conger Fish
Has anyone cooked or eaten conger fish, or as they call it here in Costa Rica congrio? I just picked some up at the market and was hoping maybe someone had a recipe. Any help is appreciated.

Here is an awesome-sounding soup recipe - can't beat a hearty stew:

This is a late reply, however....if you still have the fish, might be best to just let it go...:D
The fish was eaten. It was up to the Costa Rican fisherman that took the conger to release it :( At least I did not buy the readily available marlin fillets.

HA! No, I meant if you still had the "fresh" fish after 6 days it might be best to let it go ---> into the garbage!
Do you regularly see marlin on the street down there?

They sell loins at the super market. I cringe every time I see them. Maybe I will take some pictures and post them for you to see.
