i've been fishing a flat outside of bimini bay, and having some pretty good luck with trout on doa cals. i could definitely go for catching some on the fly. if anyone has any successful trout patterns, it would be appreciated.
Sea trout eat a variety of creatures from, shrimp, mullet, pinfish, baby snappers, blennies, blowfish, pigfish, pilchards, tiny oysters, clams, baby flounder, baby trout, croakers, crabs and more. So, they will also eat a variety of flies. Some that seem to work better than others in Florida are Clouser minnows, shrimp patterns, (DOA shrimp), seaducers and even wooly buggers. White coloration or light browns to yellows produce well.

Certainly clousers are a good call. I have also been having incredible results with the Borski Craft Fur Shrimp.
