The Marine Industries Association of South Florida will host a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) enrollment center at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. All charter captains need to get this TWIC card.

TWIC is an identification credential for all personnel requiring unescorted access to secure areas of Maritime Transportation Security Administration-regulated facilities and vessels, and all U.S. mariners holding Coast Guard-issued credentials.

The center will be located in the Marine Professional Inc. headquarters in the southwest corner of the Seabreeze building at the Bahia Mar. It will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Oct. 29-Nov. 2 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 3 The cost is $132.50.

Visit the Transportation Security Administration Web site for information, or call (866) 347-8942.

I picked my card up last week. When you make an appointment online it's much smoother than the suckers that just show up and have to wait a few hours....

The "TWIC" card is nothing but a bunch of "BS" for the charter captains that fish any where.
It serves no functional purpose at all.

Get real,,this is a joke!

"""identification credential for all personnel requiring unescorted access to secure areas""

What in the hell is all that,,BS!!!
