I am new to saltwater fly fishing, but am seasoned in freshwater fly fishing. I am looking for a few patterns that will attract speckled trout, and the occasional redfish. I am a wade fisher, and mainly throw my flies around the docks.

I enjoy tying flies just about as much as reeling in a fish, so I am looking for some new patterns to practice on. I have been wanting to try a shrimp imitation, since that is the biggest producer of specks and reds down here. I can look at the pictures of the flies, but cannot for the life of me figure out how they were tied!

Does anyone know of a thread, or any sites for that matter, that show how to tie saltwater flies, specifically shrimp imitations? If there are any online videos out there, I would love to see them. Watching them being tied is a heck of a lot easier than reading up on how to tie them!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have had a great deal of luck this year catching snook and trout on a Todd's Wiggle Minnow. My biggest trout was 6 lbs. and I missed a couple of monster snook using that fly. You won't beleive the action it has.:gr_cheers: If you go to www.toddswiggleminnow.com you will get very good step by step color instructions on how to tie it. Very easy
