I have a 2003 Pathfinder 2300 offshore in the dark blue color. Is there touchup paint available for this boat? Also, when towing, what would you say is a safe distance from the bottom of the motor skegs to the road, to avoid scraping. Right now I have about 8". Yamaha suggests towing with the motors in the down position, so I would like to comply.

Thomas,,,About the touch up paint.
You will need to go by your PathFinder dealer and pick up some GelCoat to do a proper repair. There is more to it than you think.

If you are looking for paint,,,go by your DuPont, Sherwin Williams, or PPG automotive store and let them mix you some single stage paint. You will need a hardener with it also.
They can take a color camera and get a shot of the boat to get the right color.

About towing,,,I have never towed any of my boats with the motor down. But if I had to,,8" would not be enough for me. I was thinking 12" or more..........

Thank you Capt. Rick. The paint that I wanted was just for some minor scratches that annoy me, no major repairs. Thanks for the info on the towing also. Guess I'll have to buy one of those tow bars to keep the motors up.
