Although I do enjoy all things fishing I would apprciate if you take my support e-mail out of your notifications. I never signed up for this site in the past and puzzled how you got a support e-mail.

"Dear Friends,

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a safe holiday.

Here's my first report in 2009... what a way to start the year.

We're a little confused:

Is this post directed at us here at the forums or Capt. Blanco?

You can also PM him if you have some personal business....

Rick,
Since we have seemingly high jacked this thread, yes I did read the article. That is my last issue since my subscription has run out. I will have to renew later in the year, being that I am living out of the country and only pick up my issues every few months from the post office. I have been involved with developing web based communities since the early 90's. There is always a learning curve with any new endeavor and building and nurturing an online community is not easy, requiring a lot of focused attention. It is always the little things that matter most. A vibrant community gives a huge opportunity to leverage and promote so many other things. As you and I talked about on the phone, frustration and that absence of a real community feel pushes people away. Talk soon! :gr_cheers:

This thread has been moved to the "Problems" forum

Any future threads discussing forum functionality should also be posted here. These discussions are inappropriate in the advice forums.

Regarding the continuing log-in issues: trust me, we are still looking for a solution and I will pass anything I learn on to you. It is not in my hands personally and beyond my area of expertise, but I can tell you that it is not a vBulletin issue.

Beyond that, I want to thank you guys again for participating - we are still growing and really appreciate your contribution. I would, however, respectfully ask that you keep side-talk about technical issues in the appropriate place.
