We are a couple thinking about buying a trawler (Mainship 390) as a live aboard for winters in the Bahamas and towing our Regulator 26FS for me to fish. We'd planned on renting a house in the Abacos but it has become too pricey!! We'd spend a lot of time in Abaco (Hopetown) but also go down to the Exumas. I've been all around the Bahamas but never towing a bigger boat like our Regulator. I'm very experienced with boats as an Island Boy from Maine so I'm not concerned about the challenges. More concerned about getting the right setup from those that have actually done it.
