replacing water pump

I have a 75 hp Johnson it is a older model engine and it is not pumping the water through very well I want to fix it myself how do I get the pump out and can it be reconditioned or does it need to be replaced.

The best bet is to buy a service manual for the motor.
It is most likely the Impeller is bad.
I can usually change my twin yamaha’s impellers in about an hour or so.
Not very difficult.
Go to the dealer they may sell a kit for the change out.
