Redfish,Redfish and More Redfish!
For the last few weeks everyone has been complaining about the wind. I can say myself that I am one of them also.
It has been really hard to get out in the bays and catch any numbers of Speckled Trout, but we have been doing very well with the Redfish, catching limits almost everyday for the last two weeks.
It has not been easy to find clean water with the wind blowing 20mph, But if you look hard enough in the shallow marsh you can find clear water pockets. This is where most of our Redfish were caught the last few weeks. This is from Lafitte,to Port Sulfur, and to Golden Meadows. If you find clear water and bait fish, you will find some hungry Redfish ready to be caught.
Most of these Reds were caught on black and chartruese Bayou Chubs with a spinner, Or new penny Gulp shrimp on a 1/4oz jighead under a cork.
The Gulp shrimp work well under a cork in dirty water conditions also, it has a scent built in and the Redfish love it.

If you would like to book a trip to catch Redfish and Speckled Trout, you can contact myslef Capt. Scott Poche` at http://lafittefishing.com or
