Tammy Sapp, editor of the Women's Outdoor Wire, asked fish-and-wildlife statistics provider Southwick Associates to pull some all-female survey results from the company's March 2009 hunter survey. She posted the results on her blog at www.womensoutdoorwire.com/blogs/outdoorscene/ (http://www.womensoutdoorwire.com/blogs/outdoorscene/). While the results speak to the hunting survey specifically, Tammy lets us know that Southwick also surveys anglers. She goes on to suggest that few women are completing these surveys — definitely an issue if we want manufacturers to take our gear needs seriously.
