From the filler cap to the top of the tank I cant snake through the hose, not sure if there is some sort of filter sytem or if there is blockage . I don't believe it to be a vent problem because I took off the hose on top of the tank , still could not put in gas
I have a 20' Angler 204FX center console with a 150 mercury opti max. any help appreciated.
Shouldn't I be able to run a snake in the filler hose, from the cap to the top of the tank, there is some obstruction.

There may be a wire type device to prevent thieves from stealing your gas via siphon hose. Can you remove the hose from the tank?

You can't take out or add?
There is a anti-theft device they install that keeps you from being able to stick any type of hose down into the tank. If you can find an access hatch, remove that and it should give you access to the tank. On the top of the tank there should be another cap, remove that (be careful, that probably has your gas gauge mounted on it) and you have direct access to the fuel.
Or, go back to the motor, remove the line from the motor, use gravity and let it drain that way.
If you can't FILL the tank, you have an obstruction somewhere between the tank and the fill spout.

I had this problem on my Sea Fox POS, I used compressed air to clear the obstruction....which ended up NOT being in my hose. I removed the hose at the tank and put the end of the compressed air on the hole going into the tank and did a slight blow...you could feel it give way....and all was back to normal.
