Hello, I am new to this forum, and i recently bought a 1999 aquasport 175 osprey with a 115 evinrude. The boat has drain holes in the stern of the boat with rubber flaps on them to drain water when it comes it the boat, but when i stand in the back ov the boat lots of water comes in. I was wondering if i could close up the holes. Would that hurt anything or is that ok to do, and how should I go about closing the holes? Any help is appreciated.

You don't want to close those scuppers.Replacing the flaps would be a possible solution. I don't think aquasport is still in business but you can get some more feed back @ classicmako.com.

replace them with the ping pong ball scuppers. they work like a check valve

The ping pong balls are good, just makesure they're clean. If any crud builds up in there, they're useless. Also, there's some rubber/plastic that act's like an o-ring, once it goes they stop working.
Alot better than the flap style though.
