Am seeing there are lots of people looking for advice. Going to a tackle shop can be of help. There's a fun weekend school for women coming up where ladies can get the answers one-on-one. It covers fishing strategy, where to find fish, how to find, what to do when you find them. You can practice with the equipment and actually put your skills to the test.

Guys, please don't feel left out. It's designed to address learning needs for women who don't have a source of mentoring, or just want to learn with their peers. Just like programs are designed for kids but not adults. It is open to the public, and there is a program for men who want to be a part of it. I hope it's ok to say google ladies fishing seminars to find it, to be respectful of forum rules.
