I recently got this boat. The prior owner repower this rig with 3 suzuki's 250. I don't have any idea what engines he replaced or how many. I think is over power do to how old is the boat, because back in 1988 that kind of power was not available. I'm afraid that I might put the pedal to the metal and hit a 4" foot breaker and the engines hit my back while I'm seating on the center console!!!! Do anybody have a clue about this boat? I can not find any reliable source to tell me what is the limit in horse power. I just want to be in the safe side because in Jacksonville FL. you have to run 55 miles out to the ledge to play with the big boys!!! Thanks any help will be appreciated http://forums.saltwatersportsman.com/images/smilies/bouncy.gif

I think you are right, trips were sort of 'unheard of' back in 1988.

I did see a 33 footer of that vintage years ago and it had twins (big 300 V8 'rudes), and the only owner complaint was that the engines would not tilt all the way up due to an undersized bracket used by HS.

I think if the proper bracket was used, you would be ok.

Also, Saint Lucie Outboard in Fort Pierce has one on their lot (I think it is the owners boat) and you may want to give them a call and see if you can pick their brain any.
