WHen traveling acorss the surface of thee water, much of the water's surface ended up in the boat and in your face. Also, it was slow and because of the attempt at getting maximum interior space, the bow was nowhere near sharp enough so it was a rough riding boat.

I have been looking at this model for quite some time but have not been serious enough to waste anybodys time to ask for a ride. The time is drawing near to get onboard one and a few other hulls that I'd like to consider. The layout is exactly what I would design giving serious family oriented fishing as our main goal. The remarks about it being a wet dog do concern me. A wet dog as compared to what? And where were these tests done, We're gulf fishermen, so a short chop is what we're used to. We've ridden many Grady boats in the 30 ft range and am not impressed with ride comfort or cockpit room, we were hoping the 333 would streach out beyond those lengths and appears to have massive amounts of fishable space. Speed is not an issue if the reported 28 kt cruise, and 38kt max are correct. Please give me a little more detail if available on real world experience with the 333, my wife has her heart set on these 333's so if there is a real reason to pull them from our list, you could save me and some broker alot of time

You might consider looking for a 32 Intrepid. Very proven hulls that are very efficeint and well designed.

I own a 333 and fish the gulfstream off Miami/Keys. The boat has performed extremely well in haevy seas. I have been boating for over 35 years and owned vessels from 30 to 46 ft.
I suggest you take the test ride.

i am looking into the 333, we often fish in heavy seas, 4 foot seas is a typical average. we run approx. 50 miles to our fishing ground. had a 31 tiara last season. we might have been spoiled with the tiara. the 333 we r considering has 250 mercs.real courious on how it will perform.

I bought my Mako 333 from Sea Power Marine June 2000, the only time water spray comes in the boat is form the port or stb quarter in strong winds from that side. No water has ever come in over the bow. A little canvas on the sides would make the Mako 333 dry.
This boat is very seaworthy, I berth it in the San Francisco Bay Area and take it out in the Pacific Ocean for Salmon and further out to 100 miles fishing
for Albacore. It cuts through 6' waves created by the high speed faires with out slowing down.
