Marlin in Thailand

I read a thread on this site about fishing in Thailand. No one actually said if they have ever caught or heard of any Marlin being caught there. I want to fish there as it looks like paradise. The question is are there any Marlin???

I've been doing a lot of research on Thailand. What I have discovered, is that marlin are still relatively rare around Thailand. The Andaman Islands on the other hand, are a different story. I've talked with several people on the phone or by e-mail that did live aboard trips to the Andamans. Most of them spent only a little time targeting marlin and the rest of the time chasing trevally, but the people who targeted only marlin did very well on blacks. I'm planning a trip there for next february.
