In Memory of Dad- Bring her aboard - Fishing Forums Photo Gallery

My Dad passed away last year and left me his 15'6" rowing Dory and recently I was finally able to get her back in shape and take her out into Kailua Bay, Hawaii. I wound up rowing 18 miles that day covering allot of ground while trolling a 'Awa'awa (Ladyfish) on one line and a Opelu (Mackerel Scad) on the other. Finally got a decent strike and after 15 minutes of fight I brought up a decent 40 pound Kaku aka Great Barracuda. A friend on a kayak was able to grab my camera and take a quick few photos. After removing the hook I revived her , and sent her on her way to fight another day. Wish I could tell my Dad that I'm putting his Dory to good use, thanks Dad.
