My brother caught this guy with the worst possible fishing set up ever but still landed the fish after almost being spooled 2 times. My brother had a bass reel with 10lb connected to 12lb line. The reels drag did not work and every time the fish ran he had to lift the bail in order for it to run. The fish almost spooled him so my brother waded up to his neck just to keep from getting spooled. The fish ran to the right towards the oyster beds and we followed slowly careful not to get cut since we had taken off our shoes.When my brother landed the fish he had no leader just a strait j hook. It came out that my brother lost his leader and was just fishing for something small since we were about to leave and ended up with just the opposite. photo by CG
