5'8'' long even with part of his tail cut off and 4ft wide. These are the times when your knots, leaders,and hooks are tested to the limit. Fighting this guy for close to an hour I would easily say tops the fight of 7ft shark. Many fisherman would just say it's a stingray. I would say these are the gulfs bottom dwelling bulldogs blowing line out of a reel that would humble a shark. This sucker brought me down to the braid in no time even heating the side plate on my reel. Caught and released (hk/remd) great feeling watching him swim off.
