405 LB Threasher - Fishing Forums Photo Gallery

This Threasher was caught July 6 of this year on the Indy II (38' Luhrs) out of Point Pleasant, NJ . It weighed in at 405 LB at Hoffman's Marina in Brielle. We caught him in the glory hole on a fresh bluefish fillet with green skirt at 7:30am, after a full night of chumming heavily. The fight lasted about an hour and a half, and it took the three of us a half hour to get the fish in the boat.
In the pictures: Lee Gamboni (white shirt), and 14 year old Rick Oberci (brown shirt) who fought the fish for 85% of the fight. A tougher kid you will not find.
