Carolina Beach fishing report 8-9-07. Reel Adventure Charter
The Wrightsville Beach fishing, Topsail Island fishing, and Carolina Beach fishing has been phenomenal to say the least!
INSHORE: The flounder bite is really good. Try deep holes or ledges and donít forget the inlets and near shore reefs. The red drum bite is there but the water is hot and you really have to coax them into biting. Try early morning or late afternoon for best results.
OFFSHORE: The shark fishing continues to put lots of smiles on my customerís faces and many of these sharks are over 100 lbs. The Amberjack (and other jack species) are doing well at the wrecks and reefs 10-20 miles outÖ use the biggest bait you can find and HOLD ON! The cudas are everywhere and are a blast on light tackle. The king mackerel bite is spread out, use live bait for best results and there are some big ones crusing the inlets. The spanish bite has picked back up. We sight casted to acres of them the other day and we hope this hangs on for a few more days.
Be sure to check us out in this monthís edition of the North Carolina Sportsman Magazine with our featured Shark fishing article and donít forget to watch us on the Coastal Carolina Fishing Report TV show with our Cape Fear Report. We will tell you whatís hot and whatís not!
Thatís it for now. This is a short report, I will let the picís speak for themselves. This fishing for a living is hard work but I wouldnít trade it for the world.
