My dad wanted to go get some reds, how could I say no? It was very windy and rough but the fish were still biting good. We caught several over-sized reds today. The largest was 36 inches caught by my dad who did not want any pictures today until he yanked in that beast. I think the schools of over slot reds have starting to move in because the fish today were bigger than normal. Or maybe they just like bad weather. The bonus in today's trip was the variety of fish. I caught a 15 inch trout, a small 20 inch snook two flounder 12 &15 inches, a few under-sized black drum, and we both caught a bunch of reds. I know it takes a tarpon to make a west coast grand slam, but I think I'm ok in calling what I caught a crystal river inshore slam. If not, it was still fun.
