Shadowcast Charters Report 9/20/08

Each month I do a fishing seminar for Sweetwater Kayaks in St. Pete. The following Saturday, I take out a four hour charter so anglers can apply what they learned (and break in some of the free tackle they get at the seminar). This month I had the pleasure of fishing with Mardie Chapman, Mike Kenney, and Wayne Arner. We fished the Ruskin area in hopes of finding some snook and redfish.....and we did! Both Mardie and Wayne caught their first redfish (nice slot sized specimens) and Mike caught his first two snook, including one on fly. Enjoy the pics...next seminar and trip is scheduled for 10/9 and 10/11.

Mardie was the first to hook up on a DOA jerkbait with a Mustad weedless weighted powerlock hook. Great job!!!


Wayne hooked up next on his new Mirr-O-Lure Mirro-Mullet that he got at the seminar!!


Mike hooked up moments later on his first snook.


I got into the action by sight casting this 24 incher on an EP Pinfish in 5 inches of water in a backcountry pond.
